Courier Delivery Information

We work with Post Haste Couriers and aim to deliver your gift as quickly as possible and in excellent condition. We cannot guarantee delivery times but the following guide may be useful for helping you plan your ordering time frame:

Auckland Metropolitan Delivery - $5

Orders must be received by 12:30pm on a normal business day to reach the couriers for same day delivery, otherwise delivery is overnight.

North Island Region Delivery - $15

This includes Riverhead, Kumeu, Kaipara, Kaukapakapa, Helensville, Beachlands, Pukekohe and parts of Titirangi. The last courier pickup for the day is at 3:30pm, so we require your order by 2:30pm, in time for us to pack it. Depending on the distance from Central Auckland delivery to the North Island region is overnight  and rural delivery will take 1 day longer. Delivery is only available Monday to Friday. We recommend that you buy your gift in advance to cover these delays.

South Island Region Delivery - $22

Normal delivery time is  2 days, with extra time required for rural deliveries. The last courier pickup for the day is at 3:30pm, so we require your order by 2:30pm, in time for us to pack it.

Urgent Delivery

We do have access to urgent courier services. These offer 90 minute sprint services in Auckland up to 6pm and overnight service to both the North Island and South Island regions. The delivery charge is approximately twice the normal charge. If you want Urgent Courier Service please email us at enquire@sendsationalgifts.co.nz to confirm that this is possible.

Saturday Delivery

Please ask for Saturday Delivery - it can be added for an additional fee of $5.

Delivery Addresses - Things to think about

Couriers tell us that when delivering goods to residential addresses only 20% of deliveries are to a house that has people at home. We use Post Haste Couriers.  If the recipient is not home, a calling card will be left so the recipient can call to arrange a suitable time for re-delivery.

Deliveries to hospitals are also a challenge because patients may be discharged before the gifts arrive, or may change wards or hospitals without notice. Where possible we suggest sending the gift to their home address, where relatives or friends can arrange for the safe delivery.

Wherever possible include a mobile phone number for the recipient, so if there are any problems the courier can arrange safe delivery.

Redirection fees are charged if the delivery address is wrong. You are responsible for giving us the correct address, so any redirection fees will be charged on to you.
